There’s a boy who is into blondes
And change he isn’t fond
His toothbrush sees beer often
And he tried but it’s hard to soften
The hard parts of who he is
Can’t be seen as emotional that is
Because he is not a human – he is a man
And besides, no one would understand
His experiences – good and bad
Or his relationship with his dad
So he never digs deeper
Pushes away every keeper
He’s confidently insecure
Which often leaves him unsure
It’s a hard state to be in
Ruining good things to their end
So he lives his life simple
Doesn’t worship a temple
Just takes the days as they come
One day he hopes to find someone
So he continues to front as a “no-emotion” soldier
Despite wearing his heart on his shoulder
And he will never change
People always stay the same
